A Solution for Greening Parisian Condominiums

What if your condominium became a green oasis teeming with biodiversity that keeps things cool in the summer?

Coproasis is a new tool created by the City of Paris that offers all condominium associations technical and financial support to green courtyards and rooftops, make surfaces permeable, and collect rainwater.

From feasibility studies to design, CoprOasis is a program that provides technical support (information and advice) and financial assistance through grants from the City of Paris. You’ll receive advice and referrals to professionals for any greening projects—such as landscaping a courtyard, greening a roof or facade, or installing a rainwater collection tank.

CoprOasis also offers financial assistance for studies and construction work. For example, a flat-rate grant of 5,000 euros is available for preliminary design studies for a courtyard or a rooftop terrace. A flat-rate grant of 10,000 euros is available if two projects are undertaken (a rooftop terrace and a courtyard). Up to 80% of greening work is funded, up to a maximum of 30,000 euros; a flat rate of 500 euros per rainwater storage tank; and 50 euros per square meter of green facade, up to a height of 10 meters.

This financial assistance helps fund permeabilization and greening projects that meet certain technical criteria aligned with the objectives outlined at the beginning of this article: making effective use of stormwater, promoting green spaces, and fostering biodiversity.

Grants are available at every stage of any project aimed at increasing soil permeability, harvesting and reusing stormwater, and/or adding vegetation within a condominium complex.

If your condominium association is already well into its greening project—whether in the planning or construction phase—you can register it directly on the CoachCopro platform. The Agency will contact you to schedule a meeting, discuss the project, and begin providing support if the project is eligible for the program.
