Energy Audit: New Version Effective April 1, 2024
The energy audit, which must be attached to the deeds of sale for the least energy-efficient homes (those classified as F and G on the energy performance certificate), is undergoing changes to its content.
Thus, starting on April 1, at the request of the audit sponsor, the auditor may propose additional work.
In addition, the auditor must propose scenarios that enable compliance with the “high energy performance renovation” label requirement by the final stage of the work: a first, single-phase scenario that improves the building’s energy efficiency by two energy classes and addresses two insulation areas, or a two-phase scenario that ensures at least the achievement of high-performance renovation standards; a scenario that adequately addresses interfaces and interactions, which must include achieving a satisfactory level of hygrothermal comfort.
Finally, the information included in the energy audit will no longer be based on living area but on the total area after the work is completed, and must include a description of the work that includes certain required details.
