Discover this secret pension increase!
Retirees who still have dependent children may be eligible for a temporary increase in their pension paid by Agirc-Arrco.
This increase amounts to 5% of the supplementary pension benefits accrued over the entire career for each dependent child. However, it cannot be combined with the increase for children born or raised that is granted to parents of at least three children.
To be eligible for this temporary increase, children must be considered dependents. This applies to children under 18, those under 25 who are students, apprentices, or unemployed individuals registered with Pôle Emploi and not receiving unemployment benefits, as well as those—regardless of age—who are disabled and whose disability was recognized before the age of 21.
It is important to note that when a child is no longer a dependent, the retiree’s pension is recalculated. Agirc-Arrco will apply whichever provision is more advantageous for the retiree: the temporary increase for dependent children or the increase for children born or raised by the retiree.
In summary, retirees who still have dependent children may be eligible for a temporary increase in their pension paid by Agirc-Arrco.
This increase amounts to 5% of the supplementary pension benefits earned over the entire career for each dependent child, subject to certain conditions. However, it cannot be combined with the increase for children born or raised in the household and is recalculated when the child is no longer a dependent.
